Lina Foundation Limited was founded in 2024 by Carole Vischer and Frauke Lambertz. Carole and Frauke are longstanding board members of the charitable Thyll-Foundation, Switzerland, established in 1984 by Mrs Lina Thyll (1915-1998). Visionary and internationally minded, Lina Thyll supported people and their special talents with huge commitment and implemented own projects in Switzerland, Austria and on the Italian Island of Elba. Guided by these values, Lina Foundation Limited aims to continue this legacy out of Hong Kong on a global scale.
Lina Foundation Limited promotes music education, including but not limited to all classification of musical instruments, vocal music, operatic music, and music composition to people of all ages including physically and mentally disabled people in Hong Kong and anywhere in the world, if appropriate by organising concerts, music activities, research (provided that the research findings are disseminated to the public) in relation to music education or music therapy on a non-profit making basis.
Lina Foundation is recognized as a charitable institution and is exempt from tax under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112 of the laws of Hong Kong).
