Biography

Kalms graduated from Hong Kong Institute of Education and The Chinese University of Hong Kong and obtained a Bachelor Degree of Education (Honours) (Primary) and a Master Degree of Arts (Music). She was awarded the Tin Ka Ping Education Fund and obtained DipABRSM and AMusTCL. Kalms had successfully obtained San Francisco Orff Course Level III (USA), Orff Schulwerk Certificate Level III (Australia), Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music, Certificate Level I (Kecskemét, Hungary) , Dalcroze Australia Eurhythmics Foundation Award and International Loving Touch® Foundation, certified Infant Massage Instructor. Kalms has a passion for teaching early childhood music and has participated in different local and oversea Orff and Dalcroze workshops. Kalms is Artistic Director of Art Rhapsody Orff Eductaion Centre , music editor, and the Vice-President of Hong Kong Orff Schulwerk Association. She was a part-time tutor in different organizations, including The School of Continuing Education of Hong Kong Baptist University, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (Excel) and Caritas Institute of Community Education and The Hong Kong Children’s Choir. Kalms also worked with Oxford University Press and different publishing companies as part-time editor of music teaching materials and early childhood teaching materials. She also provides early childhood music training for kindergarten teachers.

Started from 2022, Kalms was one of the trainer of “Train-the-Trainers Workshop” under the “Ebenezer Jockey Club Music Odyssey”, which is supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charites Trust. She also did “collaborative teaching” with music Teachers of Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired.
